Beijing Culture and Creative Sector Seminar in London

A large high-profiled Beijing delegation will be visiting the UK to present opportunities in culture and creative sectors of the Beijing market in a seminar to be held on 28th July 2012 in London.

The group members, consisting of business delegates from TV, music, cultural development, publication etc., as well as chamber executives and government business development officials of the City of Beijing, are visiting the UK as a part of a large group led by the Leader and the Mayor of Beijing.

Briefings of seminar will cover a wide range of projects and attendance is free of charge. A networking reception will be held after the seminar presentations for registered attendees from UK companies to meet the delegates.

The City of Beijing leads China in the development of the cultural and creative sectors and regards the industries as key sectors in the next phase of its economic growth. British culture and creative industries are held with high regards by their Chinese counterparts. A recent presentation/exhibition from Karin Beate-Philips (BEDG) and Tim Stephens (London University of Arts) in Beijing and Chengdu, arranged by BCC LinkToChina to represent the UK, has sparked enthusiastic responses.
