A working group from the government and chamber of the City of Shenzhen visited UK today to further work on business matchmaking services and project opportunities with LinkToChina.
The group, led by Mr Yongxin Tao, the Vice-Chairman of CCPIT Shenzhen, and Mr. Linhai Liu, Deputy Director of the Economic service Bureau of Guangming New District, held talk today with Dr. Kegang Wu, Executive Director of BCC LinkToChina.
Shenzhen, the newest and youngest metropolitan city in the world with a 10 million plus population, has become the symbol of China’s recent economic reform and growth. It has come of age from a small town of 30,000 in 1979 to a leading Chinese city of global trade and investment. Outbound investment in 2010 amounted to more than US$887 million. Huawei Technologies (Basingstoke) and Hytera (Slough) are all headquartered in Shenzhen.
Shenzhen is among the Chinese cities and provinces operating the LinkToChina services.
LinkToChina was briefed by the visitors on the opportunities on the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (May 2013), the China (Shenzhen) International Finance Exposition (December 2012) and the sector opportunities in the newly established district of New Guangming.
