Understanding how to export to China, as told by China

British export to China is influenced by the changing policies of China to balance trade surplus, to undergo industrial structure change, to reform the foreign currency control and to internationalise China’s currency among others.

The Chinese partner of BCC LinkToChina, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce is to host an inaugural national event China International Import Conference in Beijing on 6th September 2012.

The government policies forum is expected to announce various polices and support measures on export to China. The state agencies that will present at the forum have been announced and they make an impressive line-up: State Development & Reform Commission, Ministry of Science & Technology (for the imports of high-tech products), Ministry of Finance (for the change of tariffs), People’s Bank of China (for cross-border RMB trade transaction), Ministry of Agriculture (for the imports of agri-products), General Administration of Customs (for trade facilitation), General of Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection & Quarantine (for trade facilitation), Development Research Center of the State Council, State Intellectual Property Office, State Administration of Foreign Exchange, State Food & Drug Administration (for the imports of food and drugs), and Export-Import Bank of China (for trade financing).

The organisers have also announced that there will be business matchmaking sessions at the conference. CCPIT and CCOIC, as our partners in China, are also our partners at the UK China Business Conference to be held on 17th September in the UK. Many of their member businesses are coming to take part the UK conference. The proposals and propositions submited by British firms for one-to-one matchmaking at the UK conference will be eventually promoted in China through our partners initiative.
