Doing Business with China (Guangdong) Roundtable

A high-level delegation from the Guangdong Government is visiting the UK on the invitation of BCC LinkToChina and Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Guangdong and Thames Valley have been working closely over the last few years through the BCC LinkToChina programme. A roundtable meeting will be organised for chamber members and the partners of the LinkToChina programme and other organisations to meet the delegates. The speakers will provide updates on the economic and trade opportunities in the China market, the recent policy changes such as the newly setup Free Trade Areas and how can British regions and companies can work in the Guangdong. The group is also keen to listen to UK companies on their interest in China market, including export to China and engaging with Chinese investors.

Guangdong Province makes up 10% of China’s GDP and is the international trading hub that channels through one quarter of China’s global import and export. It also has the Chinese Silicon Valley – Shenzhen – arguably and is the largest manufacturing hub in China. It has been a hotbed of doing business with China over the last three decades.
